US Trisports Race Management announces transfer of ownership

SALT LAKE CITY, APRIL 8, 2021 – Cody Ford and Aly Brooks, owner of US Trisports Race Management, announce the transfer of ownership of their race management company, including The Daybreak Triathlon and Triathamom to Perry Hacker and partners.

US Trisports Race Management was founded in 2009 by triathletes Aly Brooks and Greg Overton, with the goal of delivering exceptional racing opportunities to triathletes in the western United States. It was founded on the belief that delivering a premium race experience means taking a no-compromises approach to the venue, organization, course layout and overall athlete experience. In 2011, Cody Ford took Greg's place and together with Aly, expanded the US Trisports brand to include multiple events throughout the state of Utah, including TriathaMom, the ever-popular women's-only event that has been featured on KSL, ABC4 and Fox13 news stations.

New owner, Perry Hacker, is an active member of the triathlon and running community and has been competing in events for over 20 years. He has more than 30 years of experience organizing events throughout the state of Utah including The Bear Lake Trifecta, a three-day marathon event and several small 5K races. From 2015 – 2018 he was involved in the production of Tri Utah races with owner Dan Aamodt.

“I am grateful for the work that Cody and Aly put in to create such incredible events and am looking forward to continuing their legacy.” I am excited to partner with our local tri clubs (Salt Lake Triathlon Club, Southern Utah Triathlon Club, Intermountain Tri, Balanced Art Multisport and Peak State Fit), Tri Utah and Race Tri, as well as Triathletes of Utah and Utah Tri Buzz,” to foster our strong triathlon community.” said Perry Hacker

In addition to The Daybreak and Triathamom, US Trisports is excited to expand its offerings in 2022 to include additional Triathamom events in Northern and Southern Utah and a Duathlon on the Wasatch Front. Additionally, new 5k and family fun runs will be added to our existing events.
