Results Breakdown: Southern Utah Triathlon 2022

Congrats to everyone who participated at the Southern Utah Triathlon, and good luck to everyone racing 70.3 Worlds this week!     


SAVE THE DATE! As we've done the last few years, we're working with local tri clubs to throw an all-inclusive, end of season party... THURS, NOV 10th ~5:00-8:00 at the University Guest House + outdoor area on the U of U campus. Come enjoy some good company and food as we hand out some swag and celebrate the season.

     

Next up in the Utah Triathlon Championship Series:

1) Mar 19:  Ice Breaker
2) May 7:  Ironman St. George (World Champs)
3) May 21:  Sand Hollow - Olympic
4) May 28:  Daybreak - Olympic
5) Jun 11:  Jordanelle - Olympic
6) Jul 16:  Echo (State Champs!) - Olympic
7) Aug 20:  East Canyon - Olympic
8) Sep 9:  Brineman - Half
9) Sep 17:  Kokopelli - Olympic
10) Sep 17:  Bear Lake Brawl - Half
11) Oct 22:  Southern Utah - Olympic
12) Oct 28-29:  St. George 70.3 Worlds

Show up at 3 or more of the 12 total Series races to qualify for 2022 season swag & awards!


Note that for many races there are also non-Championship Series options (i.e. Kokopelli Sprint, Bear Lake Brawl Sprint & Olympic).

Below is the results breakdown for the Southern Utah Triathlon, and this post from a few years ago explains what this is if you need a refresher. 

Basically, like we do for all Utah Triathlon Championship Series races, we crunch some #'s to show your percentile vs. the field. The lower % the better, and this look helps you track your own performance year over year, race to race. 

For age group rankings and other season awards, we'll calculate a points "bonus" for IM and 70.3 Worlds to adjust for the higher level of competition throughout the field. The State Champs race each year also provides a notch smaller but still significant bonus.
