Utah Age Group Rankings 2019: FINAL WALL OF FAME

With the Kokopelli Olympic marking the last race of the 2019 Utah Triathlon Championship Series, it's time for some final season rankings!

As we always say, we stand & applaud everyone who has qualified for the rankings. We call these Final Rankings the "WALL OF FAME," and have several cool things in store for everyone on this list (and others) at the end of season party on Oct. 3rd  (SEE BELOW!)  ↓↓

If you didn't see on our Facebook page, there's an all-inclusive, end of season party THURS, OCT 3rd (~5:30-8:30) at the University Guest House on the U of U campus. Come enjoy some good company and food as we also hand out season awards and send off locals competing at Kona!  Here's the link for more details!

Regardless of individual rank, these are all people who enjoy the friendly competition and camaraderie of the Utah Triathlon Championship Series and who support the local scene.

Think about it, how many people stayed in bed while you were out testing your limits??
How many others are active, yet too chicken to ever toe a start line??

Kudos to everyone in the rankings... you're fighters who are strong in both body & mind!

Lastly, keep in mind this is for FUN.  Please don't take the rankings too seriously.

The methodology is simple:

* To be eligible for the final WALL OF FAME, must have raced at least 3 of the 11 events on the Utah Triathlon Championship Series calendar

Round 1 (Jun): 2 race minimum
Round 2 (Aug): 2 race minimum
Round 3 (end of season): 3 race minimum (average of your top 3 races)

* The final rankings are also the basis for several “Most Improved,” "Rookies of the Year," and other awards, not just awards for Championship Belt Holders and other elites (if you'd like to be a part of this effort, please see our message at the bottom of this post)

* Like prior years, we take the AVERAGE of everyone’s top 3 series races for the final rankings… this provides some incentive to get out and race often, as you can only help yourself by racing more. For example, if you had an off day, or even a DNF, that result will shake out of your top 3 average if you raced 4+ times.

* We use your Overall % to calculate the rankings (which is shown in all the individual race “Results Breakdowns” we post). This is simply how you placed vs. the field - if you placed 60th out of 100 at a race (60%), 80th out of 200 at another (40%), and 50th out of 100 at another (50%), in this case those three performances average to 50%.

Your 50% average would then be stacked up to other qualifying triathletes for the rankings.

Without further adieu we present the 2019 WALL OF FAME... scroll down to see splits by gender and age group as well.
