Top Local Racer Award Winners - 2019

While everyone who supported the local tri scene this season should pat themselves on the back, we want to highlight those of you who truly went Beast Mode.

All in there were 24 individuals in our database who raced at least 5 of the 14 races we tracked (Utah Triathlon Championship Series, non-UTCS distances & Challenger Races all combined... 27 total race/distance options), with 10 people racing 6+ times.

The 10 who raced 6+ times are officially our "Top Local Racer" Award winners for 2019... congrats!

Please note: for everyone who raced Saturday's Southern Utah Triathlon in St. George, congrats! You're off to a great start for the 2020 season. The Southern Utah Triathlon is unique in that it's still in the calendar year, but falls after the end of season Awards Night and Kona Send off party.

So in that way it's kinda like Ironman Arizona, for example, where you can qualify for Kona the following year. It's the first race on our local calendar that counts towards the 2020 season.

ps. in order to help us not miss any of your races, please register using the same name every time (Mike vs. Michael, etc, etc). We try to clean those up, but it's tough to monitor for everyone :)

We started a Patreon account (link below) with the hope of raising a few bucks towards awards & swag for athletes of all abilities in our tri community. We've given out a lot over the past 3 years, but would like to continue to expand our offerings & the volume we can do.

If you enjoy Utah Tri Buzz and would like to pitch in, any amount would be greatly appreciated... (there may be something in it for you as well!)

We're also always grateful for talented people who contribute in terms of time... let us know if you'd like to be part of the Utah Tri Buzz team.
